Frosted Christmas

by Louisa Thompson

Bring your stamps to life by stamping onto both white and coloured card then decoupaging it for a 3D effect. It’s a great way to make them stand out!

Shopping List

  • From Wild Rose Studio:
  • From your local craft shop:
    • Coredinations card
    • Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder
    • Black ink
    • Sticky fixers
    • Coloured pencils
    • Glitter

How to Make

  1. Layer turquoise Coredinations card over the base. Add three panels of embossed card on top.
  2. Stamp the holly border from Sam With Stocking three times in a row to make a continuous border. Colour with watercolours and layer over the card. Add liquid pearls to the holly berries.
  3. Stamp Sam With Stocking twice onto white card, then twice more onto grey lightly sanded Coredinations card. Trim or die-cut the first white image into an octagon. Cut out the puppy from the grey image and attach onto the octagon image.
  4. Cut out the puppy’s head and stocking from the second white image. Colour the stocking only and attach with sticky fixers for a 3D effect.
  5. Cut out the puppy’s head only from the second grey image. Attach to the main image to complete the 3D effect.
  6. Add a little grey watercolouring to the puppy to add shading to his ears, eye and tail.
  7. Stamp ‘for you at xmas’ using the Handwritten Greetings set. Trim, layer and attach as shown. Add glitter highlights, to finish.
